The Fannie Moffitt Autumn Stomp is an annual heritage festival held in Altamont, Tennessee, celebrating the birthplace of Grundy County. Named after Fannie Moffitt, a notable local figure and direct descendant of Adrian Northcutt, whose cabin served as the first Grundy County Courthouse, the festival offers a variety of activities, including music, dancing, arts and crafts, a car cruise-in, and the popular Fannie Moffitt hat contest, which awards cash prizes for the most elegant, creative, and whimsical hats.
